Departments overview

Departments help you mirror your org chart inside Wibby so approvals and reporting stay organized.

What you can do

  • Create as many departments as you need.
  • Assign default approvers for each department.
  • Map unique policies or locations to specific teams.

Adding departments

  1. Navigate to Settings → Departments.
  2. Select Add Department.
  3. Enter a name, description, and optional color tag.
  4. Choose default approvers and save.

Assigning employees

  • When adding or editing an employee, pick the correct department in the Job information section.
  • Bulk-update teams by exporting, editing the CSV, and re-importing.

Reporting

  • Filter dashboards by department to view coverage gaps.
  • Compare utilization rates across teams to plan hiring.
