How Can I Change a User's Location?

You can update a user's location when they move offices, work remotely, or change assignments.

Steps

  1. Go to People → Employees

    • Find the user whose location you want to change
    • Click on their name to open their profile
  2. Edit job information

    • Click Edit in the Job Information section
    • Or click the menu → Edit Employee
  3. Update location

    • Find Location field
    • Select the new location from dropdown
    • Review other location-related settings
  4. Review impact

    • Leave policy: May change if location has different policy
    • Time zone: Will update to new location's time zone
    • Holidays: Will see new location's holidays
    • Working schedule: May need adjustment
  5. Save changes

    • Click Save
    • Location change is applied immediately

Important considerations

  • Leave policy: User may get a new leave policy based on location
  • Holidays: User will see holidays for the new location
  • Time zone: Reports and schedules use new location's time zone
  • Existing requests: Current leave requests remain valid

  1. Select multiple users
  2. Use bulk actions
  3. Change location for all selected

Tips

  • Communicate location changes to affected users
  • Review leave policy changes when updating location
  • Update working schedule if time zone changes significantly
  • Consider impact on team structure and approvals
