How do I connect with Google Calendar?

Connect Google Calendar to sync approved leave requests to your calendar automatically.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar

    • Navigate to the Google Calendar integration page
  2. Start connection

    • Click Connect or Connect Google Calendar button
    • You'll be redirected to Google authorization
  3. Sign in to Google

    • Sign in with your Google account
    • Use the account associated with your calendar
  4. Authorize Wibby

    • Review the permissions Wibby requests
    • Click Allow to grant access
    • Wibby needs calendar access to sync events
  5. Select calendars

    • Choose which calendars to sync with
    • You can select multiple calendars
    • Click Save or Continue
  6. Complete setup

    • Return to Wibby
    • Connection status should show Connected
    • Integration is now active

Required permissions

Wibby needs these Google Calendar permissions:

  • View calendars: To see your calendar list
  • Create events: To add leave events
  • Edit events: To update leave details
  • Delete events: To remove cancelled leaves

Sync settings

After connection, configure:

  • Which calendars: Select calendars to sync to
  • Event details: What information to include
  • Auto-sync: Enable automatic syncing
  • Sync direction: One-way or two-way sync

After connection

  • Approved leave appears in Google Calendar
  • Events show leave type and dates
  • Calendar updates automatically
  • Cancelled leaves are removed

Troubleshooting

  • Connection fails: Check Google account permissions
  • Events not appearing: Verify calendar selection
  • Sync issues: Check sync settings and refresh
