User permissions

Wibby has three main user roles with different levels of access and capabilities.

Admin

Admins have full access to all features and settings in Wibby.

Can:

  • View and edit all company settings
  • Manage all departments, locations, and policies
  • Add, edit, and remove employees
  • Approve or reject any leave request
  • Access all reports and analytics
  • Manage integrations (Slack, Google Calendar)
  • Export data
  • Manage other admin users

Cannot:

  • Be restricted by any permission settings

Manager

Managers can oversee their team and have limited administrative access.

Can:

  • View and manage employees in their department(s)
  • Approve or reject leave requests for their team
  • View team reports and analytics
  • Edit employee schedules (if permitted)
  • View company-wide leave policies
  • Access basic company settings

Cannot:

  • Add or remove employees
  • Modify company-wide settings
  • Manage integrations
  • Access financial or sensitive data exports

Employee

Employees have basic access to request leave and manage their own information.

Can:

  • Request leave and view their own requests
  • View their leave balance and history
  • Edit their own profile information
  • View their work schedule
  • See company holidays and policies
  • Cancel their own pending requests

Cannot:

  • Approve or reject leave requests
  • View other employees' information
  • Access administrative settings
  • View reports or analytics

Permission inheritance

  • Managers automatically have employee permissions
  • Admins automatically have manager and employee permissions
  • Some permissions can be customized per user in advanced settings

Best practices

  • Start with the minimum required permissions
  • Regularly review user roles as teams grow
  • Use managers for day-to-day leave approvals
  • Reserve admin access for HR and senior staff
